If you have entered into the career as a teacher, you must want to be a teacher. Have you prepared yourself to be a good teacher? Do you know the basic requirements for a god teacher? It is a bless for your students to have you as their teacher if you can meet the following requirements:

1. Love and respect your students.
Your love to them may create a friendly teaching relationship with them, and the students may enjoy your lectures more. So, they can learn more from your lectures. Consequently, they can gain much knowledge from your, and it may lead to their bright future for them. The growing need from students is encourage and motivation. You give the sunshine to your students, they will be brilliant. The students are often rebuked as a "bungee, fool" by some teachers, it would seriously hurt the students' immature heart.

2. Help your students to find their confidence while teaching your subject.
Let your students have confidence, no matter if they are backward students. You may be teacher of a "Newton" or "Edison". The students concern much about encouraging, helping, guiding. Confidence is one of the basic elements for success in life. If you are one of the teachers for a student to grow up with confidence, it would be lucky for your students to have you as their teacher.

3. Keep a good relationship with your students.
Also, you should have a good control of your relationship with your students, by following the rules:

* Be sincere, but be strict with them. You have to think about it, and try your best to make it your attitude towards your students, no matter what kind of characters they have.

* You should show your students that you offer equal treatment and have non-discrimination.

* You should be approachable, friendly and appealing.

* When talk with them, you shouldn't say any ironic or sarcastic words, and apply no use of corporal punishment on students.

* You can set an example to the students by your ways of doing things. If they like your ways, you can be more approachable to them. Both can benefit from it.

* Give lectures/Teach them with vivid language, good image, inspiration, humor- a plus.

* You should cherish the help from you students, and they will cherish yours.

4. Teach them how to fish instead of fish.
Fishing skills are better than fish. It is a very obvious theory that can be accepted by all of us. However, when you teach at school, you may forget about the theory. Therefore, it is necessary for you to keep this in mind, and carry it out in the teacher procedure.

All the students are expected to have a bright future, and it is a teacher's responsibility to help them realize it. So, if you are a teacher now, you should help them to realize their aims. Teachers are ladders, and teachers are the engineer of soul of the students. You may need to find more ways than what I have listed here to be a good teacher. It is an honor as a teacher.
