Absolutely! I strongly believe the Euro could not only be incorporated into circulation and accepted with and where the US dollar is used, but quite honestly might be able to replace the weakening green back. I was in Holland the year the euro was introduced into the Dutch economy. The initial reaction was, as one could expect, outrage, dis-belief, and an uncertainty that this new currency would not only de-value the Guilder but how long will this transition take? After all, the Dutch Guilder was still being used. I remember an irate cab driver offering his views and over all disgust. "What the hell am I supposed to do with these useless guilders"? Fast forwarding to today-I wish I had some euros.
The language of global commerce is spoken in currency. Why not have a single unifying, identifiable, and strong currency that can be used by the Federal reserve as well as the ECB-European Central Bank? It just makes good business sense. I've done my fair share of traveling and have been intimately involved with international trade to understand that fluctuating currency rates, spot and day rates can not only diminish profit margins but cripple a business in a matter of hours. By leveling the playing field and spreading the wealth we all have a better chance of making ends meet. This might sounds somewhat socialist but in my opinion a single global currency will work.
Take a look at the current state of the imbalance between the British pound and the rest of the world's currencies. It's an absolute joke that the pound continues to double and triple in value versus the rest of the world's currencies. I find it hard to comprehend that the pound is that much stronger because less notes are in circulation? Didn't England petition to be part of the EU? It's a perfect example of why there needs to be a single unifying currency.
I'm sure this radical approach to "correcting" the state of global currency will raise a few eye-brows but I'm not trying to win any popularity contests; only trying help curb global inflation so a gallon of milk in Rio doesn't raise to $300 dollars and the price of a business class ticket doesn't rise to $50,000. Anyway, I think you get my point.
I'm running out of steam.

I don't know if it would work but it would be a really great idea. I mean why does every country need there own currency?
