got doubt then see the Performance' tab, is this showing everything fine? If so then you might be expecting too much out of your PC.
Second option to see what's running on your PC is "MSCONFIG". Go to run command on start up and type MSCONFIG'. This tells what running on your PC under Services' tab and startup' tab. These tabs will not only tell you what's running on your PC but also tells about the manufactures of those services. If anything unknown is installed on your PC then you should know it. Remember you can always check processes or services on internet sites like http://www.mypccenter.com/Proc esses.asp.
Third option is to download any scanning software and let the software do the search for you. Although you may need to do analyses at the end to see what's good and what's not. One such free software program is What's running v 2.2' at http://www.whatsrunning.net/wh atsrunning/main.aspx
Sometimes it's not only enough to see what running on your PC through Task manager or MSCONFIG. For safety, do check what all is installed on your system, has something been self downloaded on your PC as part of windows updates or by a virus? Go to control panel -> programs/uninstall program. This will give you the list of all installed programs. For bit more techies, it could be Regedit' to browse through. These may tell temporarily ran programs on your PC that might have affected you as hysteretic.
