Returning to God
In the city I was born
I tried
The material game
It hit me
The day I fell ill
It forgot my friendship
It forgot my family
It forgot my loyalty
It forgot my hurting feelings
Yet my Lord
Poured out
Of my soul
As my true savior
Caring
That I was worth
Much more to him
In His free duty
As a human being
Towards the doors
Of faith
My mum used to
Walk me to
Serving the congregation
In the style of
The free soul
