Best NFL quarterbacks of the 2007-2008 season

With about 10 days left until Super Bowl 42, what a nice time to sit and evaluate the 2007 NFL season. The New England Patriots are by far the talk of the league as they are attempting to become just the second team in history to go undefeated during the regular season and go on to win the Super Bowl. Tom Brady set the season record for TD passes with 50 and Randy Moss set the TD season reception record with 23. They broke these records all on the same pass in the final season game against their Super Bowl opponents, the New York Giants.

With that said, here is a rundown of the best quarterbacks during the 2007 National Football League season:

1) TOM BRADY, NEW ENGLAND: 2007 will always be remembered as the season that 'Touchdown Timmy' put together the best season ever by a starting quarterback. His 50 touchdown passes to 8 interceptions ratio is something you would see on Madden. He is taking the Pats to their 4 Super Bowl in 7 years. Remember, Joe Montana won 4 in 9 years, so if Brady wins the big game on Feb. 3, he will be in a class all his own.

2) BRETT FAVRE, GREEN BAY: The ageless one set the NFL career records for touchdown passes and yards during the 2007 season. He also took the Packers one game from going back to the big one. He has not missed a game in 16 years. At 38, he can still play with the best of them. Don't be surprised if he is around next year to go at it again.

3) ELI MANNING, NEW YORK GIANTS: Peyton's little brother came out of his shell in '07 and has taken the G-Men to the big show. After an 0-2 start, people were looking for Tom Coughlin's head. 10 consecutive road victories in a season (an NFL record) and now people are looking at Eli as the right pick from that '04 Draft.

4) DAVID GARRARD, JACKSONVILLE: After taking over for Byron Leftwich in '06, the former East Carolina standout is making a name for himself in the AFC. He took the Jags to the playoffs and by the end of the season the pundits were looking at him as one of the top QB's in the AFC.

5) TONY ROMO, DALLAS: Tony Romo proved he was no fluke and took the Cowboys to their best ever record. Wade Phillips looks like he has something going on in the Big D but Romo has to learn to win the big game. Romo set the Cowboys season TD record in '07 besting the likes of Aikman and Staubach, both Hall of Famers.

6) BEN ROETHLISBERGER, PITTSBURH: Big Ben came back from a dreadful '06 campaign when he came into the season having suffered a severe motorcycle wreck and appendectomy. '07 was
