Searching for that perfect gift for an elderly friend or family member? There are lots of great products available, made specifically for older people. There are lots of great on line sights that specialize in unique and useful products. You can find them by typing in "gifts for the elderly", and you will get a list of great stores.

Some of the products I found were things that you don't necessarily see in the store every day. The prices ranged from about $20.00 to over $1000.00, and the variety of gifts to choose from was tremendous.

For about $20.00 you can purchase a 27" Ergonomic Reacher, which an elderly person can use to extend their reach and enhance their grasp, a great book titled: "My Parents First Computer Guide", a manual for beginners, allowing the Internet to become less intimidating. It is easy to follow and learn, and doesn't use high tech talk or computer jargon. It is written in an easy to read large print, making it perfect for someone who would love to use the Internet, but finds it confusing. Easy Grip Nail Clippers are perfect for stiff hands. Large soft rubber, easy grip handles make holding and using them simple, they don't require any twisting or folding to open, and are perfect for someone with arthritis. The Safe n' Easy Can Opener makes opening cans easy and painless. Your hands never touch the lid, the exclusive lid gripper clamps securely to the top of can. In the $30.00 to $40.00 range, I found things such as the Round Shower/Tub Stool, a rust resistant stool which sits in your tub or shower. It has rubber tips for safety, and it's height adjustable.
