Where Did The Time Go?
It seems like only yesterday I watched, with a tear in my eye
As Mike got on the school bus for his first day of school
Kevin's first Christmas program was only months ago
They couldn't wait for Santa to come
Today, I'm getting ready to attend my grandson's graduation
Where Did The Time Go?
My hair gets thinner everyday
Gray is now its predominate color
Wrinkles seem to pop up overnight
Crows feet line my deep, dark, brown eyes
I received my first senior discount today
Where Did The Time Go?
Stop, I say!
Look not to where time has gone
Look ahead to where time will take you
Listen to the sounds of the birds as they arrive after the long cold winter
A robin just landed on my deck
Tulips pop up out of the cold, hard, ground
Stop and smell those roses
Take a long, deep breath, and indulge
God gave us all this beauty to enjoy now
Worry not where the time has gone
Enjoy the time today
