Life isn't perfect: How to beat 'the system' and live successfully

and policy concerns affecting the world, why are there no transparent global corporations? Why is there such a discrepancy between the top and the bottom workers' wages and a drive for astronomical profits? Don't forget money is a belief system; we have to trust a system where issued bills of paper have value. Some countries and cultures are not so dependent on monetary systems so their idea of wealth and wealth-being' is different. As an individual in a company what is your goal, or path or ambition? Do you have to drive straight toward it or can you go sideways and feel more contented? Is there such a thing as a work/life balance where you can have what you want? The system here is rigid, but you can gain some wriggle room' if you really want to. So, downshift, delegate, transfer, quit; join, relocate, assume responsibility, get promoted whatever it takes for you to shake the system and be the best and happiest you can be.

Technology
Why does the world have to progress faster and faster? We are demanding faster and more complex systems to run our lives. From wired to wireless, we are still entangled in energy and technology. When the 21st Century energy transition comes we had better be ready to transform ourselves, our lives and thus the system to work more in harmony with each other and the world; for like the oceans, humankind is one big connected system. There will be haves and have-nots and any transformation will have to include everyone or the system will remain distorted.

Media
The media, the biggest system manager, reflects the system in print, online, TV and radio form. They advertise, programme and show what we want to see, so we cannot complain about what is seen and heard. There is a perceived notion by the public that that news programmes cannot be fully trusted because of bias and spin by controlling authorities. Many news programmes do not ask the questions we want or bring up subjects that may offend the establishment, so people are sceptical, because they do not see the official events' as truly reflecting their worldview. Why do some media outlets show a perceived bias? Who controls the media and what do they gain from their subjective broadcasts? The public want more than a news desk reporter with repeating news. They want to know what else they may not be hearing, they want fresh perspectives, reassurance that their views are aired, and they want news with their questions answered. This system is all pervasive. You can turn off or tune out. Or you can make the news yourselves and become a non-system reporter. Most importantly, think; think for yourself and not system-think.

So how can the system be managed or even beaten? Can you be in the system and change it from within, withdraw from the system or fight it on the fringes? We can change our behaviour and actions to lessen the stress within life; we can be happy and wealthy whether physically, mentally or spiritually. We are the system. We created the problems and hopefully we will have the solutions.
