Not everyone is interested in drawing (or good at it). Whether you're interested but need practice and want to make something else in the meantime, or you're not interested and want an artistic alternative, there are many other ways to make art.
WAYS TO CREATE ART WITHOUT DRAWING-
1) Sculpting clay. This might seem intimidating but just think of it as forming a lump of clay. Maybe someday you'll move on to marble, maybe not. Focus on the present and see what you can make.
You've probably played with play-doh and sculpting clay isn't that much harder. You might want to invest in some tools, or you might just want to use different sized nails and utensils.
Sculpting is fun and three-dimensional. You don't have to worry about shading and size/form is much easier to calculate. Everyone has areas that they excel at and fail at. Give clay sculpture a try and see what happens.
2) Color focus. You can make art with paint and disregard any traditional sense of subject. See what colors and shapes compliment one another. Express yourself. Start with an idea of what you want to express and figure out how to do it without a literal subject.
You can paint the rain, the sun, spring time, your favorite food... anything you'd like. Think of it as modern art and figure out what makes it art. It goes beyond kindergarten finger paints. Express yourself and find out why firsthand.
3) Sand Art. This can be a spiritual art. Tibetan Monks are famous for their creations which are temporary but no less beautiful for it. Try out some traditional patterns or make your own. The tools are inexpensive and the sand is colorful. You don't need to know how to draw to make an exquisite play of color and pattern.
4) Carving. Carving is harder than sculpting from clay because once you remove a chunk it is gone from your piece. Still, some people are natural wood carvers. It comes easy to them. They can see a block for what lies beneath. Be careful whatever tools you use. They are sharp and you are softer than wood.
5) Mosaics. Bits of shells, stones, broken glass. Anything that appeals to you can be formed into a mosaic. Churches often have great examples of this art. Mosaics were often religious in nature but they don't have to be. You will develop an eye for piecing them together. Think of it as making a quilt without sewing. Choose symbols and simple forms to represent in your creations.
