Giving up a child is selfish. First of all, how could women give up their baby after they carried the baby for nine months? Many people think that by keeping the baby it will only ruin their life but little do they know that they are ruining the baby's life. Do the mothers ever stop to think how they will ruin the baby life? No they are just selfish and think it is all about them.

They start to think about their career first. A career comes and goes but a child will always be there. Many people do not realize but children gives unconditional love as an infant. The children also look up their parent as role model. Knowing that they were given for adoption will affect them for the rest of there life. It is so hard for the child because they have to grow up thinking they were not loved.

We have grown-up in a society that thinks everything is disposable. Now we are doing it to our babies. Babies are not like items that if we do not like them we could return it. Babies are humans and person who we should be put first and there feeling should be considered. We all know the consequence of having sex so if you do not want a baby you should use protection.

At the age of 17, I meet Sergio and we start dating. My parent were strict they would not let me go out with nobody. I convinced my boyfriend to come by my house to ask permission to my parent to date. My father got upset and asked him to leave. Three months later I was pregnant. I knew I was in trouble and I talked with my boyfriend. I thought about abortion for me it was the easy way out. I knew I would not be able to have that in my conscious. I thought what if I have the baby and give it up for adoption. As the months past I grew to love my baby it was inside of me. Now 7 years have past, I am married with Sergio and my daughter is 6 and I so happy I have kept her. She is my world and I could not imagine my life without her.
