Maybe somebody will say, "Stop it's silly!" and the Arabs and Israelis will say, "Oh, yes, it is," and they'd all start living in peace and having picnics with each other and then all the other countries will decide to stop fighting and there will be pretty unicorns and rainbows everywhere. Yeah, right. I really think it would be good if something like that happens but I don't think it's at all likely. What follows is not what I want to happen but what think will happen from recent events and prophesies.
There's a species of butterfly where the males sit on the ground in clearings in woods. When a female flies into the clearing he mates with her and when another male flies in they fight. Normally these fights are short and the resident male wins. If two males are in the clearing for a while before noticing each other (I think scientists sneaked one in as an experiment), when they do notice each other, they will fight for a long time. I think you can see the analogy with the Palestinian situation. The Jews were in the Holy Land first having been promised it perpetuity by God, then they were driven out and a group of mostly Muslims moved in (they only became the Palestinians after Israel became a state in 1948). Then, particularly after Would War II, many Jews came back and established a Jewish state. Now they're like two butterflies who think they both own the clearing. This is complicated by religious beliefs that cause antagonism between Jews and Muslims generally and the increasing antagonism between Islam and the West. In fact it would be a lot more accurate to talk about the Israeli Muslim conflict, as it's highly probable that there wouldn't be a conflict or it would be very different if most Arabs weren't Muslims.
Anybody who says that Islam is a peaceful religion is ignorant, mad or a liar. Any group with more than about 10 members will have the odd nut but with Islam violence is inherent and can be traced right back Mohammad and the Koran. If the accepted facts about Mohammad's life are more-or-less true, he was obviously a terrorist, lunatic and pedophile and his claim to be a prophet is highly doubtful. He was probably one of these very charismatic people like Hitler or Joseph Smith Junior, who manage to get a huge following in spite of the blatantly evil and stupid nature of their teaching. Arguing otherwise is an exercise in sophistry (how can a sane person possibly say that a man who married a six year old isn't a pedophile?). If you read the Koran,
