Well, I am glad that I found this topic to write under! I have tried numerous, so called, "work-at-home" scams. I have actually been able to find one really good, legitimate job, and you really do pick your hours.

The company that I work for is called West at Home. I have only been working for them for about 3 weeks now, but I have already made over $300.00, and that was not even full time. It was my training + about 25 hrs. Plus, this is the best part, I did not have to pay this company anything for me to be able to work for them. I filled out my application, followed the directions they sent me for the hiring process, and now I am working daily.

Now, there is a downfall, as much as I hate to say it, but you can not be a stay-at-home mom and do this with your kids at the house. That is because of the nature of the job, and no it is not nasty or perverted, you take calls for info-mertial company's. You can not have background noise. I sometimes have my 6 yr old with me when I am working, but she stays quiet, I can not keep my 2 year old at home when I am working. So I would say that if you have older children it would be okay, but not the really young ones.

It is really pretty simple to get started, and the software that you need is given to you when you start training. Plus, you start getting paid the day you start training. Most of the pay is per minute, but if you do not make minimum wage, the company makes up the difference according to the minimum wage laws for your state. I would recommend this company to anyone who is wanting to work from home and can sit at the computer for, sometimes, long periods of time, that just depends on how many hours you schedule for yourself.

Now, another job that I do from home in my spare time is Travel. Before I found West at Home, I signed up with a company to be a travel agent. This company offers me all the information that I need to be a productive travel agent. I know that people can probably book travel without joining a company like this, but I was unsure of what I was doing at the time, and it is only 16 dollars and some change per month.

I mainly do the travel agent work in my spare time, it really does not take long to book hotels and such. I have a full time client who travels most of the year, and I get the commissions from the hotel, it adds up after awhile. Plus, I signed up with two different company's so if one pays higher commission I will book using that company name and vise versa.

So if you are interested in the travel business, there are opportunities to make the money, just make sure you get in with the right company. I personally have went with company's that charge a lot and offer very little, but my favorite (EE Travel) is cheap and offers quite a bit.

Always research home business opportunities. Most of the time if sound to good to be true, THEY ARE NOT TRUE! and you can get ripped off. I am personally tired of wasting my money on "work from home scams". I do hoped that this information helps some one.
