Eric Cantona was another foreigner with funny ideas on how the English game needed an injection of life, and you know what, after giving that Palace fan a good side kick over the barrier, he got my vote! Jose Mourinho will be a name engraved in the very foundations of what made Chelsea a good team to a great team! Never before has there been a manager whose arrogance and self worth would follow the players onto the pitch. Chelsea as a team would play with such a belief and confidence that they seemed unbeatable, not wanting to upset anybody but they reminded me of the great 1970-74 Brazil team, grace and flowing football, well worth the entrance fee, but as we all know, all good things come to an end, and the end for Chelsea was the departure of there Saviour, Jose Mourinho. Throughout history powerful army's have always been lead by powerful men, Attila the Hun who conquered all of Asia, King Leonidas the Spartan Leader who lead his 300 soldiers into battle against the 500,000 strong Persians at Thermopylae, Alexander the Great, conquered almost the entire known world, Napolean Bonaparte was one of the greatest military commanders, Julius Caesar, ruler of Rome and a brilliant military leader, i could name you a great leader from almost every decade but that would be pointless, i only need a few to make my point, without these leaders would these all conquering and powerful army's and nations be what we read and teach about today? probable not, you can have the strongest, fittest, smartest people in the world at your disposal, but if you can't lead them there worthless. Claudio Ranieri was given an obscene amount of money from Roman Abramovich, new and "exciting" players brought into the Chelsea's boot room, but he lacked leadership, Mourinho, same players but got results! In my opinion Jose Mourinho was and still is a great leader, unfortunately for Chelsea a great leader is what they require. Some achieve greatness, some have greatness thrusted upon them and some, just like Jose Mourinho, are born great, replacing such a man will be a huge task for the club, i don't think even with Roman Abramovich's vast amount of money, Chelsea would ever be able to replace the chosen one. I wish them all the luck in the world..
P.S i'm a Portsmouth fan incase your wondering.......
