Rednecks are some of my favorite people in this goofy world today. They are real, they love their country and will fight to protect the United States of America, they drink beer and eat wild game and love their family and children. I'll take a good old redneck any day over a lot of these overeducated, under common sensed yuppies that think their poop don't smell. I have seen some pretty sharp rednecks in my life and most of them are pretty smart even though they may not have apiece of paper form some yuppie college that says they are smart enough to get a degree.
Just like a few weeks ago it was cold and nasty and I went to the grocery store and they was a Land rover looking for a parking place where they wouldn't get their manicured fingers cold and have to walk a ways . I could just tell by looking a this guy that he was an asshole. Well he pulled into a handicapped parking spot right close to the store. I walked up and walked around his Land Rover and looked for a handicapped sticker. Of course there was none. He asked me very snottily what my problem was and I told him that I didn't see his handicapped sticker. he said, SO? I said he should not park there because that was for PHYSICALLY handicapped people. He didn't like it one bit but he did move his Land Rover. You would never se a "Redneck" do something like that. They may not be the most educated in the world but they have common sense and respect for other people in most cases
It irritates me that all these damn Yankees think that only the South has rednecks. Just because you have a Southern Accent doesn't mean you are a redneck Arkansas catches a lot of hell about rednecks and such but some of the nicest and most friendly people I have ever met have been from Arkansas and if my grandkids were not here in Denver, that is exactly where I would be in retirement At least you can understand what they are saying and they don't talk like that have a mouth full of hot mush or something.
Really originally the term redneck came from farmers being out in the fields and getting their neck sunburned, hence the term redneck. I don't know how it regressed into what people now think of as rednecks
Give me a good old America loving redneck that drives and old beat up pickup over these over educated yuppies that think they know everything, any day.
