4. Email forwarding.

Have you made a web based email for ur group or ur organization? If you had, you might have wondered if u forward the emails to all the members of ur groups at once. SO, that u won't have to remind them of the incoming emails. I guess u have. And here is the solution. At gmail, you can automatically forward the incoming emails in ur inbox to any email address. The orginal would be safe in ur inbox and a copy will be sent to the specified email address. Thus, you can check ur incoming emails of Gmail with another email account. The email account could be of any type.

5. POP account
POP stands for Post Box Protocol. If you had used only Yahoo or hotmail for ur email access, then POP email may be a new concept to u. Well, POP email account is also a email, which is accessed from a mail program like Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, etc. You don't have to open ur browser to check ur mail if u have a POP email account. You just need ur internet connection and the mail program. Gmail has also got a POP account, that means you can check ur gmail through the use of email programs. This makes Gmail independent of the web browser like internet explorer and Firefox.
