the cause right away, it's almost second nature. The very pitch and tone of the cry can tell a mother that her child is sick, hungry, pissed off or hurt. But that is all that this tool should be used for, not for taking advantage.

Being tired causes parent's to lose their minds some days, and their patience. This can lead to things that shouldn't happen, such as frustration at the child for not letting you sleep. You may find yourself yelling at your child, or worse case, wanting to harm your child. This is not something that any parent wants to have happen, so you must take the right course of action ahead of time to settle conflicts later on. If your child is not hurt, has been changed and fed, there is no reason that you cannot let your child cry themselves to sleep.

Eventually even the most angry of children get tired of crying, and will drop off. Word of caution though, if your child does not stop crying for five hours, you may need to reevaluate what is going on. There may be a problem that you cannot see, and should take your child to the hospital or the doctors. Otherwise mom, put the baby down and step away. We all need rest, and we all need time on our own. You are not a bad mom if you don't rock your child to sleep all night every night, and this will teach your child that the most important needs will be answered and met, and the rest? They will be ignored.
