I'm one of those people who detests getting out of the shower and have all the mirrors fogged up. Many years ago my Mother told me the best thing to do was to allow your bathroom fan to run, also to crack the bathroom door, or to crack the bathroom window. This worked fairly good but didn't totally eliminate all the fog. Years later, I heard if you hold a hair dryer close to the mirror, it would blow the steam away, and yes it definitely works, and guess what? Zip the fog's gone! I also read about the miracles of using men's shaving cream, and...zip it works too! Some say, using the men's shaving cream is one of the best and easiest ways to keep your eye glasses and your bathroom mirrors from fogging up. I just take a damp towel and spray the shaving cream directly onto the towel, making sure I have enough on the towel, and I wipe the mirror as though I was cleaning it...it's easy and simple to do and it does work.
If you are one of those people who like to get instant results, buy anti-fog aerosol glass and window cleaner. It acts a lot like the men's shaving cream but I would say much better. It is a foaming non-fogging formula; it quickly cleans windows, glass mirrors and tile, leaving a surface that will not steam or fog when moisture is applied. You get a cleaning job as well as no fog mirrors. A lot of people probably opt to have an electronic bathroom mirror defogger installed. These new electronic bathroom mirror defoggers are suppose to really work good...zip no fog! The write-ups on the defoggers appear to be easy to install and they are suppose to work great. I have not had the pleasure of buying one as yet, but it is on my want list for next Christmas. This latest invention allows the husband and wife to use the bathroom at the same time. You won't waste any time waiting for the bathroom. While a husband takes his shower, his wife can style her hair, put on her face, etc., and as soon as he steps out of the shower, he can shave, brush his teeth, style his hair, and the two will be steps away from walking out the door.
I'm sure if you try one of the above suggestions, you'll get the results you've been looking for and end up with fog free mirrors as you step out of your shower. You'll be blessed with the ability to quickly prepare yourself for your appointment or your daily trip to work. You won't have to take a towel and try to remove the fog only to have it fog up again if the bathroom is still to full of moisture.
