Poetry: Pain

TWO YOUNG LOVERS-

She just wanted to touch the sky.
All he wanted to do was fly.
They were young and free at heart.
Their love never got to start.
Their parents came and ripped them apart.
They were only 16 and in love'
She prayed for help from the good lord above.
He sat in his room all day.
He refused to come out and made all his friends go away.
She just wanted to touch the sky.
All he wanted to do was fly.
He came to her window late one night.
They ran away so they could be by each other's side.
They were young and free at heart until their whole
world got ripped apart.
Their love never got to start.
They went to the wrong side of town.
Two thugs drove by and shot them down.
She just wanted to touch the sky.
All he wanted to do was fly.
They got their wish they now have angels wings.
Their lives were stolen its a crying shame.
Their parents felt they were to blame.
they would do anything to go back and erase their child's pain.
Now their families will never be the same.
All she wanted to do was touch the sky
All he wanted to do was fly.
Their lives were ripped apart because they were young and in love.
their young lives were stolen and all that can be done is to say goodbye.
She just wanted to touch the sky.
All he wanted to do was fly.
