The standard tomato soup tends to resemble water that has been dyed red, and tastes similar. This is a rich and decadent version of the standard tomato soup.
BACK HOME TOMATO SOUP
8 chopped ,ripe medium tomatoes
4 finely chopped carrots
4 finely chopped onions
4 finely chopped celery stalks
4 cups boiling water
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon sugar
In a pot combine tomatoes, carrots, onions, celery and 4 cups of water. Cover; cook slowly for 10 minutes. Add salt. Cover and and then remove from heat. In another pot combine sugar with water. Cook until browned and syrupy. Remove from heat. Put the soup mixture through a sieve or to make it easier you could put the soup through a blender. Add 2 tablespoons hot soup to sugar mixture. Add mixture to the soup. Heat soup before serving.
