ASE certification derived from the nonprofit association which is the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. During May and November every year, there is a conduction of ASE tests over 100,000 technicians around United States. In order to pass ASE certification, a technician must pass at least one of the exams and must have at least two years of experience in the field. The industry experts developed several tests that are just like those exams in college entrance tests.
Exams cover all major areas in repair. The auto technician alone consists of eight tests includes the engine performance, electrical and electronic system, engine repair, brakes, suspension and steering, heating and air conditioning, manual drive train and axles, and lastly the automatic transmissions. Some exams include damage estimators, collision repair technicians, parts specialist and so much more.
Dedication is the best and primary requirement why a technician needs to have ASE certification. A technician must re-test every five years in order to preserve their ASE certification for many years to come. With this, there is a great assurance that your car's health will always be in good conditions with the help of these ASE certified technicians.
