How to program yourself for success

Confidence inspires success. To be confident in your life, in every aspect, you can reach any goal and overcome any obstacle. It is all about loving where you are, living life to its full potential and creating realistic goals that match who you are. A few simple guidelines to follow:

1. Know your goals. It is very important to understand the exact location you wish to be in, which office you wish to join, which topic you wish to publish, where you want to live, etc... Success is dependent on realism, with a healthy dash of idealism.

2. Exude self confidence no matter the situation. Taking out your trash on garbage day? So what? Walk with your head held high, shoulders back, posture impeccable. It's important to live every moment in life with impressions of capability.

3. Groom yourself, dress to impress. First impressions are lasting impressions, remember? It's important to always look your best and, most importantly, feel your best.

4. Accentuate the positive. It is easy to slip into the negative humdrums when life isn't going exactly according to plan. "I figured I would have made it by now...Sigh." You will eventually, nothing will fall into your lap. Just remember the ultimate goal, keep your focus, and zero in on the finish line.

5. Prepare to the best of you ability. During your downtime looking for routes to take to your goal oriented destination, practice and perfect your art. Whether it be file managing or acting. It doesn't matter. Just hone your skills and talents.

6. Never allow distractions to permanantly sidetrack you. If you have potential problems to deal with, do it. Fix your life to directly coincide with your ultimate goal of 'making it'.

Complete and total success is impractical. Everybody hits speed bumps along the way that often cause set backs and possible U-turns, but if you are intently serious on what you want, you'll achieve it if you believe it. Confidence in yourself is essential, confidence in your craft is necessary. Boost your self esteem often, and never let the rejections along the way drag you down. It's important to maintain focus through every single interaction and intersection.
