Many a time, a woman settles for less in a relationship because she is afraid that she might not have another chance. She does not want other people to label her as a 'spinster' or 'someone who is left on the shelf'. She does not want to feel out of place when she sees that her siblings, cousins and friends are attached or getting married. She may also want a child and her biological clock is ticking. So if she meets a man who seems okay, she would settle for him even though she deserves someone better. In the end, she feels miserable. When she looks back, she wonders why she even settled for him in the first place.

What kind of man should a woman not settle for?

1) A Womanizer

He will break your heart when he fools around with another woman. He might even give you a sexually transmitted disease or infection.

2) An Alcoholic

He drinks too much alcohol and gets drunk. That is probably his way of dealing with problems. He has to deal with his problems in a better way.

3) A Gambler

He will fall into financial debt when he owes other people money. He might borrow money and put himself into even more debt. Yes, when he wins, he wins. But when he loses, he loses too much.

4) A Drug Addict

He is hurting himself and wasting money. Drug use is also a criminal offense.

5) A Spendthrift

Since he does not spend within his means, he ends up in financial debt. He might borrow money and put himself into even more debt. On the other extreme, there could be a man who is too stingy with his money, which is also not good. One should spend their money on the right things and save their money on the right things.

6) A Bum

He is lazing around and not doing any work. He is probably depending on you for financial support.

7) A Smoker

You would not want him to harm his health. You would not want to breathe in secondary smoke. He can save his money or spend it on better things. And you would not want to be with a man who stinks.

8) A Criminal

He has been involved with bad people. Hence, your life is at stake.

9) An Abuser

He ill-treats you physically and/or mentally. You do not want him to hurt you.

10) A Loser

He has no future and he will drag you down.

Does your man fall into any of those categories? If he does, be careful. You do not want your life to be tied down by his bad habits, problems and baggage. You deserve better than that.
