4. Communications. Now, this is a bit of a longshot, but it can be critical. Find a way to communicate with the outside world so that you can get help. You can only stay holed up for so long and eventually the zombies will figure out a way to get into your position. If you can get in touch with anyone that can come to your rescue (it'll probably be Homeland Security) do so! Emphasize that none of your number are infected. This could prevent accidental killings ("well, there's another one for the fire") of you or your new friends.

5. Don't panic. I know that being trapped in a confined space, surrounded by beasts that might have been friends and loved ones that are trying to devour you, and knowing that you'll eventually run out of food might be a little disturbing, but remember that you're still alive and every minute you have is a blessing. Enjoy these moments. If you can find a Tv and DvD player get a copy of "Dawn of the Dead" (either version) or "Shawn of the Dead" and laugh with your friends at how silly Hollywood depicted your current situation...or you could watch "Day of the Dead" and realize how much worse off you could be.

The best advice is to always use your brains - your yummy succulent brains!
