Where writers find inspiration

There are many ways that writer's find inspiration. My first book, which I recently self-published on-line, was inspired by my father and my family as a whole. I can say that it was inspired by my friends as well as watching them succeed made me want to succeed at what I like to do the most and that is to write. Other ways that writer's find inspiration is through their dreams, through God, through their failures and through their successes in life. If you would allow me, I would like to hit briefly on each of these ways that writer's find inspiration.

The first way to find inspiration is through friends. You see, I have this friend of mine whom I talk to every morning on the way to work and sometimes throughout the day when we are conversing about things we like to do or things that we have heard through the grapevine or things that we saw throughout the day. We inspire one another to succeed in the things that we want to accomplish in life. Somehow, someway, I want to write a book about this friend of mine because of his inspiration and his friendship and because I believe the world needs to know about him.

A second way to find inspiration is through our dreams. I do not think all of our dreams are happy dreams. I also do not believe they are sad either. I think when we dream and we can remember them when we wake up in the morning, we need to write it down someway and expand on it. It is possible that the dreams that we have can continue throughout a period of time like a miniseries on television or a trilogy.

I truly believe that one of the reasons we dream is so that we can tell the world of an upcoming event that is going to affect us all or the person who is having the dream. I believe that someone like Stephen King is a dreamer. I mean this in a good way as I believe his writing comes from dreams that he has. So, the next time you call someone a dreamer, remember that it is possible that he/she is soon the tell the world about a real event that is soon going to occur or something that is coming in the future.

A third way to find inspiration for writing is to turn to God. I truly and strongly believe that our belief in God or even those who do not believe in Him have something to tell the world and write about it. Many books and study guides are popping up all over the place. Not only in religious bookstores but in convenience stores, grocery stores and popular stores like Walmart's and Targets. These are truly books written by people
