Easy crafts for one-year-olds

let them. Not only will you be allowing your child the opportunity to think for himself, but you're also forming a lifelong bond with your child as well.

Another craft you can do with your child is a craft that I like to call small snacks. You can go to the grocery store and buy a lot of different snacks that are small in size. You could buy raisins, crackers, small carrots, chocolate chips, cereal, cheese, chex mix, different fruits like bananas, and of course the small pretzel sticks. You can pre cut the cheese, fruit and carrots into different small shapes. You'll also need to get some paper plates, and it's best to use the plain plates without any designs on them.

The idea of this craft is to get your child to create a work of art, which they can make and then eat later. Allow them the chance to decorate their plate in any way that they want. Then once their done, you can take a snapshot picture of their creation, and then later create a scrapbook that showcases their culinary skills. This is a craft that you can use to encourage healthy eating habits, as well as independence in being creative.

The final craft that you and your child could do together is a learning tool. The Only thing that you'll need is a cassette player, a few blank cassette tapes, and your voice. To begin you need make a tape of you singing the alphabet, numbers, and the days of the week. You can sing about anything that will help you in teaching your child the fundamentals. You can also use background music in order to create a beat or rhythm for the song. The idea of this craft is to use music to teach your child about the alphabet, and use it repeatedly so the child will began to memorize it and learn from it. The child will also love the fact that Mommy and Daddy are really singing on the radio. You can also create a tape with your baby singing, and then you can save it for future reference, and as a means of having a keepsake.

I hope that you'll enjoy these crafty ideas that both you and your one year old child can do together. The time you spend with your child can be a learning experience, and for once it can actually be fun for both you and your child. So, why not give it a try.
