While shopping a few days back with my wife I was coerced into a Bath & Body Works store. It was one of her "I need to check this place out" stops. After looking at numerous products and spritzing her hands and arms with the latest after shower aromas I queried if they might have some sort of lotion that would help my psoriasis. I've tried every over the counter and prescribed ointment, lotion, balm, etc., some costing $250 and more that my dermatologist scripted and not one has helped or worked. I've had friends recommend old remedies that worked for them. One was coal tar that I thought was kind of weird. It had worked for others but not me. I even mixed a couple of my own concoctions in the lab late one night.....but they didn't work either. So I kept asking, hoping to find the secret formula, the product that would kick my psoriasis to the curb. We asked the lady behind the counter and she said, "Well, all I can tell you is that I've had several people try this product here "Lay It On Thick" and they said it did wonders to their dermatitis and dry skin condition and it's only $20." Considering I had to make a co-pay of $62.50 to get the $250 tube that didn't work this was a bargain.
Would it be another to add to my list of products that didn't work or would this be the needle in the haystack, the holy grail, the golden fleece? I waited till the next day after showering and laid it on thick all over like it said. I was like one of those greased farm animals you hear about now and then. I told Lucy that if she put some satin sheets on our bed with a couple of bumpers on either side and gave me a push I'd be a perpetual motion machine. The next morning I had her do a complete airport security screen on me. I was healing. Day two was better and then three even better with some disappearing already. Today is day four still a lot to go but it's getting better each day. May have to get tube two in a week or so but have a free coupon for the next one. I may have hit the mother lode with this "Lay It On Thick" product that contains Shea Butter. Yikes butter, better stay away from toast for a while. Just goes to prove that there's something out there that'll help if you persist and ask everyone you can.
Hey Lucy...it's time. Butter me up honey...but hold the toast.
