Understanding Helium titles

There is no single best way to understand Helium titles.

The best you can personally do is read the article title and write whatever you see fit to write about, provided it's within Helium's User Agreement guidelines (basically that it's your own work and not offensive to specific types of people).

If you ever write something that's way off-base, then someone will definitely let you know and alert the Helium staff.

Helium titles are classified firstly by genre, for example: Creative Writing, Drama, Essays, Family...

Then they are sub-categorized into more specific areas: Creative Writing - Poetry/Short Stories..., Drama - Crime/Humor... In this way you can locate the specific type of writing that you would like to rate and/or write about.

Sometimes the title may seem unclear to you, ambiguous.

If you're not certain what the title is asking you to write about, then you could simply skip it and write about something else or read the top 2 or 3 articles on the subject to get a better idea and then take it from there.

You might even decide to write an article from a slightly different angle or point of view than everyone else.

Let's take poetry for example, if the article title is: "Night". You might write about literal darkness, but you might also write about life and death (His life was as a bright shining beacon for those less fortunate, when that light was extinguished, it was as if the darkest night descended over the land...) Hopefully, your poetry will be much better than this example.

Helium is fun because you can read and write about a wide variety of subjects and titles.

It's educational because you can find detailed articles explaining and/or debating whatever it is that's of interest to you by simply using the search box for information on just about anything.

So read the article titles and do your best, that's all you can do anyway.
