Is a place where you most likely relax and it's incredibly important to make this place clean and cozy.

New trends are slowly taking over from the classic antique style. Light, bright, and full of bright primary colours; those are the rage.
Stores like Ikea are becoming very popular for their hip modern furniture and investing in a good, cleanable fabric sofa is a good idea. The best idea so far I've heard is simple but fun, Add-On sofas! You can simply connect a chaise lounge to a sofa or armchair and viola!

You have a great place to study, read, and maybe even sleep. These sets go as cheap as $600 and are expensive as $4000.

Go for a good simple couch, preferably with cushioning on the arms because that little feature can be the difference between enjoyment, and a hard uncomfortable seat.

If you have little ones, a good add-on is an open able cover which you can unzip and take it for a wash.

Leather sofas are actually a good idea too and they also have good durability thus lasting for many years. But of course, remember to buy a monthly cleaner and polish for the leather.

I've learned that pretty pastel tones for leather are commonly preferred over bright colours.
And obviously, it's ideal to buy your living room dcor in almost the same style and colours.

A bright blue ruggy throw and a brown leather couch is definitely the worst combination and since those colours belong in two different categories, it would be better to buy your dcor along the same lines.

For your leather arm chairs, love seats, and sofas, it's best to buy in sets and consider real leather over fake. The fake leather can fade fast and it's durability is poor.

It's rare to find some cheap good furniture, but if you have a good nervous system, bidding on eBay is pretty good, and lot's of good furniture is online. But remember to look at the shipping costs.

Get an eBay account if you have considered this option, and chances are, you'll find a good bargain.

Rugs. They are important in a living room, and even if you have a carpet, consider this:
A wool rug (handmade) is a typical classic and most of rugs which are wool are contemporary and will maybe even outlast your other things.

But I've learned to love my beautiful feminine rug made from olefin. It's stain resistant, and after every vacuuming it looks as good as new. The price varies between $50 to $150 normally and the basic design is done artfully in modern placed pastel shades.
