Dark delirium drowning in a dream,
Erratic heartbeat thumping in my chest,
Invented feelings...make-believe distress,
Muscles strain to contain a silent scream.
Fighting a battle never to be won,
Insomnia riddles my restless mind,
Searching for answers that I cannot find,
Subconscious struggle to *not* come undone.
Complex hysterics and aggravation,
Lead to a road that twists and turns and winds,
Weaving visions of death and destruction
Wrought by a plague of my own ill design,
Searching for solace...I seek...and find none.
Sleep will escape through the sweet hands of time.
