Poetry: Rock-bottom

by Farrell Walker

Created on: January 18, 2008

It's not so far away
that place we all deny.
Lofty dreams are meant to thwart it
We can only hope to fly.

It's the sudden stop that we ponder.
Not the state we are in.
Should we seek the rocky bottom
And practice to begin again?
