Choosing the best season for your wedding

A spring wedding can be a fabulous affair. Nature has stretched, yawned and started to get dressed in pinks, blues, greens and yellows.

It is a time for new life and new beginnings and you can take advantage of that when you are planning your wedding.

Choose fresh colors and consider an outdoor venue that has the option of moving indoors should spring showers be heavy. A hotel or inn in the countryside with a marquee set up in a meadow would make a fabulous setting.

Small posies of fresh flowers, with instructions for pressing, can make great seasonal favors for your guests. Centerpieces, sumptuous floral arrangements and a lavish bouquet make up the bounty of a spring wedding. The unmistakeable scent of fresh spring flowers that fills the air is the bonus.

When choosing colors go for pale pink, baby blue and lemon to reflect natures dress. These are the colors that tend to say spring best but it is of course your personal choice.

Co-ordinating groomsmen and bridesmaids provides a certain continuity. Match the color of bridesmaids dress with the color of groomsmans vest and include a buttonhole choice in bouquets.

All in all a wedding at any time of year is a fabulous event and, whatever your choice of venue, coloscheme or theme make sure its what you and your partner always dreamed it would be.
