The Christian faith journey

You hear the analogy of the Lord trying to passionately pursue the hearts of His children as a fervent lover at church, in books, or maybe, other things. It was not until today however, that I realized how relevant this was in my life.

I was reading in the Psalms about the Lords great love for us and then again in 1st John 3, which in the first verse states: "How great is the love the Father has lavished upon us, that we would be called children of God!"

How romantic is the story of Christ? I believe it's one any hopeless romantic would oogle over. I think it is like a fairy tale, but instead of being a figment of the imagination, it is entirely true!

A passionate King, so full of ardent love for His bride, would condemn Himself to a horrendous, excruciatingly painful death and save His beloveds life- for eternity. The bride, over time, had become hopelessly lost in the bog of despair and her sinful decisions had sent her so dreadfully far into the woods of desolation that it would require the King to give Himself up completely to restore her. This King's death would be the one, true way for the salvation, redemption, and restoration of His bride. Once He had rescued her from her utter devastation through an unhurried and painful death, He rose again. Afterwards He leisurely pursued His bride by gradually unveiling the incomprehensible depth of His love for her. Slowly she began to trust Him. She realized His plan for their lives together encompassed so much more than she could have imagined for her own, He abundantly showered blessings and gifts upon her life, and planned things beyond what she could have dreamed or imagined. Some days the gifts became more a hindrance than a blessing and life would be rough. Hard times would persist for days and months. However, after the utmost perseverance through every test and trial, the bride and her King grew more and more rapturously and vehemently in love with each other. Their infatuation grew as they matured and aged to blossom into a love like this world has never seen before. Life was rich, full and wonderful, lacking no excitement. Adventures were waiting for the two at every corner. Vicious knights, from neighboring kingdoms, threatened to capture or kill the bride and the King gloriously defeated all of them. Dragons and ghouls came upon them and the valiant King warded each one from his beloved. The bride eventually passed through into death with her Lover clutching to her feeble hand, but this death wasn't
