Losing weight is about eating habits and exercise.
Weight loss can oftentimes be quite simple and achievable through many relatively small changes.
My number one here is going to be coffee, coffee is one of the biggest crazes in North American cultures, and many people drink their coffee with cream and sugar. Drinking your coffee black as opposed to the former will benefit weight loss. It might not taste great at first, but many of us can relate back to our days of youth when coffee in any shape or form was yuck yuck yuck, it's more about mentality, getting used to your coffee black, give a few chances and some time, it'll grow on you.
Snacking is common, we're often in our cupboards between meals munching on chips, cookies, and other tasty little snacks that are loaded with weight gain, it isn't necessary to eliminate these snacks, however modifying them is a good idea. Celery is an excellent candidate, it effectively cleans the system, as well as actually uses energy in your body, and it's tasty to boot.
Daily exercise is a frightening concept for many, I myself often find myself second-guessing my own daily physical activity regardless of its simplicity. Doing daily exercise is conducive of good physical, as well as mental health. That and none of us can deny a walk outside and getting some fresh air in our stuffy society would do us some good ;)
Meals: eating out a lot - and if you've looked into this before, it's a frequently touched upon issue - can add to weight gain, and it's not eating out itself that is necessarily the problem, it's where you're eating out, and what you're eating while you're there.

I cannot stress again the need for exercise and good diet balance both to conduct a healthy and enjoyable weight loss.
