How do you make money in your spare time? It's all to do with what you're interested in. Are you creative - or are you a geek? Are you a social person, or would you like to work from home? How much time do you have - evenings, weekends, or entire days? And how much extra money do you need - a few dollars, or a thousand? Here are some ideas for you.

If you enjoy writing, try a blog, where you can gain money through advertising. You do have to write a pretty catchy blog in order to make real money, though.

Ebay is another way to make money. You can set up a business from home where you buy and sell, and the website itself is set up to guide you through the process.

If none of these interest you, do you have a hobby? Selling your home-made jams, knitting, paintings or other creative arts can be rewarding for you.

What about online surveys? They pay you a set amount simply to fill in a form. Another way is simply setting up a website on a particular interest, gaining money again through advertising schemes such as google.

If you're not interested in online work, you might think about local work such as babysitting in the home, or taking dogs for a walk. What about cleaning houses, or tutoring students in your home?

Got some spare space? Try renting out your garage to someone who needs the place to park, or renting out your spare room.

Have you thought about teaching an evening class? Again, think about the hobby you're interested in and go from there.

What about becoming an Avon or Tupperware representative, or hosting lingerie or book parties? You'll meet new people and get great gifts as well as earning money.

There are many ways you can earn money in your spare time. The main things to think about are your personal interests, the time you have, your ability to travel, and how much money you'd like to make.
