I do not feel that China should have privileged trade status after all that has happened. It is this writers opinion that the US should cut back on importing products entirely whether from China or elsewhere and start worrying about our own economy instead of every other countries economy. Keep the jobs here in the US instead of farming them out overseas. We have some of the hardest workers you will ever find. We are facing a recession and all the politicians seem to worry about is ruffling feathers of the Chinese. I say to bad. I do not see any other country offering to pay my bills or provide me with luxuries that I buy with money I earn from a JOB.Sure China pays their workers a lot less then the employers here in the US, but there is no product or quality control practices in place. The US should review what it allows in from other countries. There are plenty of manufacturers here in the US that can produce a better quality product then China and by making it here in the US, they would be creating jobs which would make the unemployment rate go down. We should take a good hard look at who is getting paid to make sure China's products are allowed into the US and every time something imported from China has a problem with, name them in the lawsuit as well. Maybe then people would wake up and take a stand against importing from China.Has anyone ever asked why almost everything we own from cars we drive to the cups we drink our coffee in is from China or some other country? It's pretty bad when you watch a cartoon these days and when they roll the credits some are in Chinese. You can't tell me we don't have qualified writers for that as well.I guess you could say this writer is getting fed up with China this or China that. How about we start putting a trade restriction against China and some of your other big foreign countries. I believe in free enterprise, but let's start at home here in the US first.
