and a bit of a make-over. I was happy to see that none of it took beauty and made it something that you could get with a credit card. It was all about letting them feel like a million bucks.
The last part involves Carson asking the women to pose nude not, you know, Playboy nude - just some very nice, provocative photos. The two women I saw went for it and were great. Finally Carson takes them back out onto the street, projects their provocative photo up on the building and has the woman ask the passersby how she looks naked. Full circle.
It was so nice to see something so positive on TV. So much of reality programming is a freak show. This whole show was about making beautiful women feel beautiful. I have never been a fan of Carson, but he was dialed down a little in this (barring a very funny moment where he dressed up like Carmen Miranda) and he's fantastic with the ladies. And they WERE beautiful. It hurts a little at the beginning to see how little they think of themselves. I know far too many women who compare themselves to and strive to be something ridiculous. They always wind up hating themselves because they can't attain the unattainable.
I will most certainly watch HTLGN again. It's a comforting slice of positive energy on a grey day. (And for all you Spike TV "guys" who wouldn't normally give it the time of day give it a try. These beautiful ladies spend 80% of the show in their underwear).
