How to grill corn on the cob

Grilling corn on the cob is easy and it doesn't take very long. You will want to make sure the meat you are cooking is at least half way to three quarter of the way done. If you are just grilling vegetables, or seafood you will want to do the opposite. You will want to put the corn on first as the vegetables, and seafood do not take very long to cook at all.

Simple Steps To Follow For Perfect Grilled Corn On The Cob:

1. Keep the whole ear of corn intact, peel all the layers of the husk except the very last one
that is touching the corn. Rinsing the cob would be a great idea,(washing produce should be a must when cooking)then just dab the water off with a paper towel.

2. Place it on the grill you don't want it to be too close to the flame, the husk will start to catch on fire. More towards the outside edges of the grill works fine.

3. Using long tongs to rotate it so each side of the husk gets sort of charred looking, but not burnt. Once all sides are done, you're ready to serve the corn on the cob.

Now, you should have perfectly tasty grilled corn on the cob with a nice roasted flavor.

For added extra flavor take some butter and add various types of herbs and spices. For example: mix butter with garlic and basil, or add lime and cilantro to the butter, any herbs and spices that will compliment your main course. You can also add dry mixes to the butter for instance you could add dry ranch dressing, or taco meat flavoring to the butter. You can even add a combination of both dry and fresh ingredients.Remember to add the ingredients to the butter a little at a time, because you know the saying once it's added you can't take it out, do all this according to your taste buds. You will want the butter to blend with the added flavors, so make the butter mixture ahead of time to ensure they had time to blend for full flavor. It's really fun to come up with different mixtures for different meals. If you're having a big BBQ put out a few different flavored butters and have your guests choose their favorite. These flavored butters also work great with grilled bread, fish, and vegetables.
