Recently, I have thought of how green baking soda really is. It is a food product that is also an excellent cleaner. Safe enough! Use it to clean the battery terminals on your electric car. Sunday morning pancakes are a tradition at our house. Our standard recipe gets "secret" ingredients that change all the time. Guessing at this surprise gets the cobwebs out of early morning brains. Baking soda and something acidic (like brown sugar or a bit of citrus juice) can get flapjacks to lighten up with an added banana.

Baking Soda is one product that can save shelf space and money at your house. It can replace many other cleaners that may be toxic or expensive. The only real problem is finding a big enough box of the stuff!
