Global warming: What's the real truth?

a charity. It fights for stringent government controls on companies and for cap-and-trade systems, forcing them to buy carbon-offset credits and to lower their emissions by law. Some famous names are on the board of this charity'. Gore says he will donate all profits from his film to this charity (well, he is in charge of it anyway), plus a quarter million dollars. The charity cheered the governor of California (the world's sixth largest economy!) when he signed a Global Warming Solutions law. I wonder why?

The US Congress is now considering laws of its own to apply federally. President Bush has ordered the country to start moving towards Gore's way of thinking. (On the other hand he has also okayed moves to open the world's biggest oil field, discovered in the USA, so there is bound to be a clash). So, Bush's commendable anti-Kyoto resolve seems to be crumbling. And the literal shrill lack of emotional control generated at Bali is bound to add to this. You must ask a vital question: why would the US President ask for something that reduces his country's economy and restricts its ability to compete in world markets?

Though Bush is currently only seeking voluntary cooperation, it will not be long before it is changed to legal compliance or else, especially if the socialistic Democrats stay in power.

"There are billions of dollars to be made in trading carbon emissions credits. But first the federal government must force everyone to play the game." This is probably why Gore's associates got California to comply first, being one of the largest economies in the world. Mere minions will soon follow.

As Barnes says, Gore travels everywhere to spread his gospel with films and graphs, "But he says nothing about his business partners who yearn to trade on the emerging carbon market. And the media pay no attention to the companies offering carbon advisory services' that will profit from federal carbon emission controls. Perhaps it's about time they did."
