An awful lot of women are afraid to have sex during their pregnancy - they believe it could cause a problem with the baby, cause a miscarriage, or even just plain hurt. All of those fears are totally unfounded.
There's no cause for concern about the baby; simply the act of having sex won't affect the child at all. First, you won't cause a miscarriage. Sex itself doesn't stimulate the uterus enough to cause the sorts of contractions you'd need for that type of miscarriage, and even the orgasm won't cause one; quite the contrary, you may actually be building up your uterine muscles to carry the baby (and give birth) more easily.
Many women are also afraid that the farther along in the pregnancy they get, the more uncomfortable sex will be for the child. That couldn't be farther from the truth. You won't 'poke' him, you won't squash him, and the motion could very well relax him enough that he goes to sleep!
Thanks to raging hormones during pregnancy, sex has the potential to be more enjoyable during pregnancy than any other time in a woman's life. Vaginal moisture is increased thus providing extra lubrication. The sexual organs are more sensitive, thus making the act itself more pleasurable. Now, as you get farther along you may need to find new positions so you won't be uncomfortable if the belly starts getting in the way, but a little experimentation should help you with that.
Also let's not forget that there are MANY men who find the pregnant form extremely appealing, and will do everything they can to help you not only be more comfortable, but pleasure you in all new and exciting ways. Even absent from the actual act of intercourse, there are plenty of things that can be done to invoke sexual stimuli - sometimes even the simple act of touching can be extremely exciting.
All in all, if you can manage to put aside your fears for the well-being of your child, sex can still be more than enjoyable - it can be fabulous!
