Why do we do it? Its just one of those things that everyone wants, and once theyve got it, it never seems to be enough. How strange!
People go out of their way for love, they'll do anything almost that brings them closer to it. but why?
Most people just want to be loved because they feel its missing from their lives i suppose. Its one of those things people go all out for, which i dont quite understand. They seem to think that once they find love, everything will be alright and life will be wonderful. It always happens in the movies, yeah, but how many times have you known it to happen in reality?
I suppose to undertsand this from a scientific approach, one must look at what love is. But there is no great analytical machine out there that can tell us. No little "love-o-meter" that can measure loves capabilities. I suppose it fits in the unmeasurable categories. But why do we go for stuff we cant measure, for stuff we cant define? Is it the reasoning that we want to find out? Or do we just want to keep up with everyone else?
But its a subject thats strange to me. yes ive been in love, and have endeavoured to explore its intricacies. I feel that once you have felt that its addictive, you want it as part of your life forever after that, and can't escape from it. I myself have fallen victim to this. I've been in relationships, been on dates, been in and out of love. Been cheated on, been the fall guy. Love has presented problems for me int he past, but why do we struggle on looking for it, when we know its more trouble than its worth?Ive spent alot of my time looking for love, only to realise that i've not really found it. Not yet.
But will I? will you? Im betting that somewhere in your mind youll be thinking that one day, some time love will be found for you. And ill bet youve laid awake at night thinking about it, worrying about it, and generally getting annoyed 'cause you dont know when its gonna happen.
So, is it just a big wild goose chase? Is there this thing called love that solves everyones problems? Time wil tell i suppose.
And yep - time - im working on that one.
