Is fear keeping you single?

In supposition, a relationship is a good learning experience. You get to learn about the feelings of others, how they affect you, and other people, and of course, how they affect the relationship you are in. One word could begin and end a relationship.

People undergo many relationships, unclusive of plutonic, work related, sexual, physical, psychic, partnership, loving etc. There are so many types of relationships we experience on a day to day basis. Yet, what everyone wants to focus on these days, is that of the emotional / physical / sexual relationships. Those that we consider with the deepest levels of trust. In this respect I suppose that these relationships must be based on trust, since in these kind of relationships (and each one is different) we reveal to another person (and sometimes more than one, although that gives way to complex emotions such as guilt, jealousy etc) our deepest secrets, our desires, our plans, our intentions, our ability to show affections on many levels. In this sense, these relationships are the ones we seek, they give us purpose greater than that of our current situations. They give way to our needs and wants, and the co-operation between the two mutual parties in the relationship. In that sense, one can say, we devote and change our ways of life to accommodate that of the unity between two people.

Some people solidify this with each other (and other people) by engagement, marriage, civil partnership etc.Whilst the latter may form that of a cohesive religious belief, many people these days do these acts as a measure of devotion to their other person, not that of their deities and doctrine. To be honest, i dont care about all that. All i care about, is that if I were in a relationship, i would want that person to be as devoted to me, as i were to them, and that we would share our emotions and experiences as one unified body, whilst remaining our indivuality that appealed to the other person in the first place.

But im no expert. Ive been messed around, cheated on, been the giver of love that was not returned, been the one been rejected and jilted. But somehow, i keep going, safe in the knowledge that my previous relationships, in whatever form they took, would serve as lessons for the greater one(s) that would come to pass later on. Indeed im still waiting, and perhaps will probably be waiting for a while (im not all that popular). But I maintain one thing about it all. I'm honest and true to myself, and ive always been true to the
