How to write classified ads

Classified ads are among the best form of ads for selling products, from toys to clothing to perfume to musical instruments. These can be new products advertised in print magazines or online classified websites or they can used products sold on ebay.

Classified ads at their best should be no more than 25 words. They should introduce the name and description of the products. The description should be detailed and vivid. What is the size of the product? What is its color? It's principle features. The description should make you want to buy this product?

Why should you want to buy this product? Answer that question. What features of the product make you wish to buy this product? If the product is already a bestseller, you can mention it's a bestseller, like Space Shoes sold at The Book Store.

Give the price of the product. If you have a discount price include this. Include the percentage of discount, say 30% discount.

Where and how to buy the product. If by mail, where to send your check or money order. If via a link to Amazon.com or to your company's URL, include this. If payment is via paypal, include a merchant's link to paypal.

All this should be in easy to read language.

Name the product, describe the product, state why the buyer should want to buy this product, and where and how to buy this product.
