Being a criminal for most of my life I can see why most criminals never stop breaking the law. Why should they? The adrenalin rush of doing something illegal is better than any drug, and if the criminal gets caught so what! All that happens is that they go to prison where life is even easier. The criminal doesn't have any bills to pay; they get three meals a day, and usually a job that pays them. So why not be a criminal?
Being a criminal is easy. Unfortunately, too easy. The last time that I was in prison I had a TV. in my cell with cable, a radio with a collection of nearly 300 Cd's, Levis jeans, Nike shirts, Oakley sun glasses, a slow cooker, more groceries than I could ever use, all the cigarettes I could smoke, and once every two months I got a conjugal visit. With all that, why stop?
Most of the people that I encountered during my years in prison will never change. They are doing life on the installment plan, and are content with this knowledge. I have known people that have stabbed another inmate just so they won't be released. How awful is that?

That there was nothing wrong with it.
When I got sent to prison for the first time I could not believe how easy it was. Nothing like TV and books made it out to be. I did not get raped. When I got sent to the "hole" it was not a dark cell where I got fed only bread and water, but a regular prison block with just about the same privileges as a normal prison block.
Knowing how prison really was was the worst thing that ever happened to me. Before prison I used to be scared of getting caught. After my first release I didn't care about getting caught any longer, and my crimes showed it. Things like home invasions, kidnapping, and strong armed robbery were crimes that before prison I never would have committed due to fear of being caught. After my first release and knowing how prison really was, all that fear left me. Now I was truly a menace, and no crime was too great. I really went over the edge at that point, doing whatever I wanted with no conscience.
During all this I met my future wife, got her pregnant, and went back to prison. This incarceration
