Perfect places for a wedding proposal

I disagree that people go over the top with marriage proposals, after all if you really love the person it's a once in a lifetime thing (or at least it's supposed to be), and you only live once so why not do it in style?

Is there really such a thing as a perfect place? Well everyone's different, some like it to be in an expensive romantic restaurant, others prefer to go abroad. My partner proposed to me in the sea while we were on holiday in Filey (near Yorkshire). To me that was the perfect place as I love the water and even better the man I love was with me, what could be more perfect than that. It was nothing expensive or fancy but the fact that he proposed means a lot more to me than where or how he did it. To me it was the perfect place for our engagement and I wouldn't change it for the world. If I had the chance to go back and relive it I would a million times over.

It doesn't really matter how or where you are proposed to because you can make it special under any circumstance. But like I said before some people like to plan the moment which is great because you can get the perfect setting. Mine was completely spontaneous which made it perfect also because life's too short to mess about. Just do it!

Wedding proposals will always be special if they are meant. I would deffinatly reccomend a proposal at sea, it's the perfect setting. We had a blue sky, sunshine, sea and sand. Although it wasn't an exotic place, Filey will always be a special place for me not only because that's where I got engaged, but it was also our first holiday as a couple. It will be the holiday that sticks in my mind the most, Filey is also a lovely place to visit.

Just remember that you don't have to spend huge amounts of money or create a second Paris to have a romantic proposal all you really have to do is mean what your saying. For me the sea was the perfect place but if it was to have happened in the middle of the town it would of been just as special.
