The room in which I am seated writing this article speaks for itself as to how much I treasure A.C. Moore. Framed paintings and pressed-flower art hang on my walls. Paintings done with oils came via a Bob Ross starter kit that I purchased from A.C. Moore. That was back a few years ago when I first took up painting as a hobby. The later paintings are done using acrylics and water colors, purchased at A.C. Moore. A stack of tablets filled with watercolor paper and sheets of canvasette in various sizes are stacked in a corner. In front of me sits a huge cup crammed full of Derwent charcoal pencils, woodless graphite pencils, an artist pen, Micron archival ink in various tip sizes, a calligraphy pen, to name a few, all purchased at A.C. Moore. My bookcase contains a sketch diary and drawing pad. On a table is a basket filled with Windsor & Newton and Grumbacher tubes of paint, bottles of black and white gesso, and a colorful array of Folk Art paints. Jars full of brushes sit next to them. A. C. Moore has always made it fun and easy to find everything I needed back when I first decided to brave it and see if an artist just might be lurking within me.
Later, when I took up the hobby of pressed dry flower art A.C. Moore again provided an abundant supply of everything needed. Acid-free paper came in every gorgeous color, design, and size imaginable. Even elegant mulberry paper. I found acid-free glues, an array of colorful ribbons, glitter, and the sheets of laminate needed to cover the bookmarks I was making.
In our home hang some even greater treasures. Creations of all sorts, made by and given to me from my grandchildren over the years, done with materials found at A.C. Moore.
For years I had to travel many miles to the nearest A.C. Moore store. You can imagine my delight when, just recently, they opened a store closer to us. In my experience, A.C.Moore Stores have always stocked more supplies to fit my needs then any of the other craft stores I've visited. Their products are both quality and economical. They also offer clean public rest rooms. The workers are friendly and helpful. I also appreciate that not only do they offer discount coupons, they also honor coupons and sale items that other craft stores advertise. This always helped toward the gas needed to drive the extra distance to to visit my favorite craft store, A. C. Moore.
