How do you define cheating?

To me I have always been kind of open about relationships. Being married now for over 20 years I have learned so much. In my family talking to much or having to much fun is in a way cheating. Growing up I had best friends that were guys and I never thought that would be any different. Oh yes it is. From my experience if you know to much and feel close to the oppisite sex, who is a friend people call it cheating. In some ways I uderstand their point I just don`t agree. I have seen and known people who jsut clicked together and never really thought much about it, until others would say, that doesn`t look right. Cheating to me is when you think only of that other person, and have thoughts of more than frienship, this is if you are in a relationship already. If not, its not cheating. Sleeping with someone other than your spouse of course is cheating, and if friendship that gets to touchy ,feely, than I think that is to. I have been that touchy, feely person and that doesnt work if your married. Thats a touch of cheating. In a relationship there are so many rules and I`m still learning them. Cheating is a ugly word in any sentence, and there are occations when it is used in the wrong way. People confuse cheating with flirting, I know some will disagree, but most people flirt in some way. Be careful using the cheating word it can hurt more than you know. Alot of times you can feel when things have gone to far, with a touch or trying to think of a reason to call or see someone, thats cheating, even though you didn`t do anything. The more you think on it though ,you may eventually cheat. If you can always have fun and confide with another, your spouse would concider this cheating. There is a fine line in what you can do.It took me years to understand this fine line, there is a difference, you can be friends without cheating, you just need trust in your relationship.
