What does an image consultant do for you and your business? Your consultant guides you to be the best you can be and reach your highest potential.
The image consultant will tell you about your appearance. How is your grooming? Do you need a new hairstyle? Do you need to lose weight? The consultant answers these questions and many more. The consultant sifts through your wardrobe and makes recommendations. You should be sharp looking for your business.
Your communication skills come under review. What does your body language say about you and how can you learn to control it? You will be asked to practice exercises in conflict resolution so your business relationships will flourish.
Examine your behaviors. The image consultant will evaluate your personality and suggest improvements. Managing stress in part of running a business and you need to right personality traits to compete.
I am not certain about your circumstances, but one name comes to my mind when I review what an image consultant does, Mom. I don't need to pay someone else to do what my Mother clearly does just being herself.
Perhaps your Mother is not available. In my world there seem to be a plethora of people who have very strong opinions and are not afraid to share them. All you need to do is ask. Gather information from all these people. Chew it up some. Keep what makes sense and spit out the rest.
Did you notice those last two sentences? My Mother would not approve of those. The terminology she would call crass. It's important not to let the image consultant change who you truly are. If you are not true to yourself others will see you as untrustworthy. That's probably not good for business.
Pay for an image consultant for your home business? I say no. Use your resources wisely. Spend the money on a good accountant.
