Halloween: Bat craft projects

This easy Halloween craft project can be made with inexpensive and common materials.

Halloween Vampire Craft Project

What You Will Need

A can or other round object
Construction paper
Craft glue
Box tape
Google eyes
Black marker
Scissors
Black trash bat

Use a round object to trace a circle on some white construction paper. Cut out the circle.

Draw an identical circle on some black construction paper. Cut off the top and the sides of the circle. Use craft glue to adhere this to your white circle, creating hair and sideburns.

Draw some lips on a piece of red construction paper. Draw a line down the middle of the lips with the marker, and cut out the lips. Make two white fangs and glue them onto the lips.

Make a small nose out of a triangle of red construction paper. Glue these features and the google eyes onto your vampire's face.

Cut off the top part of a trash bag. Make some slices in the bottom of the bag so that it creates a jagged edge. Open the trash bag, then re-fold it so that the jags overlap slightly. Tape the trash bag at the top, then fold over the edges at the top so it almost creates a triangle. Tape this to the back of your vampire's head.

Take two of the remaining pieces of cut-out trash bag, and tape them to the back of the vampire's head, creating a collar.

Ideas for How to Use Your Halloween Vampire Craft

This Halloween vampire craft is great to hang on a door. Put your vampire craft either on your front door to greet guests for your Halloween party, or a door to your child's room.

Place a small magnet on the vampire's back and use him to decorate your refrigerator.

Create a double-sided vampire craft, and hang him from the ceiling.

Create a Buffy the Vampire Slayer craft, and have her run a stake through the vampire's heart.

Try placing your vampire craft on the inside of a closet, so that he scares the guests at your Halloween party every time they go to put away their coats.

Make your vampire craft smaller and populate your Halloween party with a plague of vampires. Or make the project larger and let your vampire dominate the room.

Use your vampire craft project as a centerpiece for a plate full of vampire cupcakes.
