Thanksgiving is a holiday filled with feasting, joy, chat and merriment. And just like millions of Americans, my family and some of our friends hold a traditional feast on Thanksgiving.
Every year my family celebrates Thanksgiving with our friends the McWhites and the Zufelts, and traditionally, each of our families prepare and bring our most favored recipies. My mom always makes us the best apple pies in the world, along with yams, mashed potatoes and wild rice. The Zufelts usually bring green beans, yummy deviled eggs and pumpkin pie. And we all rely on the McWhites to make their unlimitedly delicious, warm, golden rolls and also my favoritest jello-pretzel dessert. On top of all that there's always a turkey and other odds and ends to make the feast a completely overboard success.
Usually everyone comes to our house for Thanksgiving. When they arrive, us kids go and play games while the parents get the feast all ready. However Ryan, Josh and I always sneak some of the rolls before we sit down to eat; they are sooo good! Within 30 minutes of our friend's arrival, the blessing on the food is said. And with all this excitement and anxiety filling the air, a person of complete ignorance to the cause of such a gay gathering would find them self feeling very happy for no understandable reason at all. So in short, no matter what mood you had had prior to the feast, your mood magically transforms into that of splendid joy.
Once arriving at the serving table in the happy spirits which were just explained, I take a little of this and a little of that along with some pretzel-jello and rolls. Then as always I take my place beside Ryan and Josh, who, as have I, loaded their plates to over-maximum capacity. Immediately after taking the first delicious bite, complementary comments concerning the delectableness of the food are thrown back and forth across the table. And although it may sound weird, I have a specially refined way of eating my food, which is used only for such occasions when

The funniest Thanksgiving that I remember was back, about 1972. My brother Martin was about 9 years old, I was about 10.
